Question about college football..

I like football..especially college rivalries but why is it when the games are televised, they do not show us the marching bands? Instead of us enjoying the halftime show that the kids have worked hard to prepare, we get the talking heads rehashing the first half of the game?

1. Good question. I think mainly they have to make time for their talking heads to tell you what to think.

How bad was it?

It was so bad that a dog ran onto the field, took a dump, and it was the highlight of the game.

Band member just ran a GO route.

6. If lots of people wanted to watch bands, they'd show it. Wouldn't have to employ stupid sports panels

The bands are there to keep the attendees from getting bored, and start acting up.

The talking heads are there to keep the viewing audience from changing to another channel to watch something else during half time, and affecting ad revenue.

10. In a small school, the bands are more watchable than the game.

The Stanford band is always fun, though.

How can you not love this?

Sbnation:

The show, which was as much about comedy as a marching band, had an entire section titled “The Band Buys a Cybertruck,” which saw some of the band’s budget go to buying a new vehicle, which is all the “rage” as the band called it — while also looking like “a DeLorean designed by a fax machine.”
