Are you as sick as I am at MAGATs incessantly bleating about DEI?

I've found a way that, so far at least, tends to shut them right up:

"Sorry, dumbass, but DEI actually stands for Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka ... three worthless trust fund brats who never accomplished a fucking thing on their own, and owe everything they possess to the circumstances of their birth. Now piss off."

As I said, so far not a single MAGAT has had a word to say in response.

So take note, you 18-20 percent Black male Trump voters who in essence, endorsed and helped ENABLED THIS S----.

She thinks Harris lost because "the democrats only talk about trans issues & DEI." I wrote back, "Excuse me, but that's the right only talking about those issues." I wasted time explaining that Harris had actual policies & that it was Trump & Trump pacs that spent half their advertising on anti-trans ads but to no avail. I wish she'd never expressed that, cuz now I don't want to write to her anymore.

... since, in his mind, you'd have to lower your standards to hire anything but a white male. How ironic that it's that exact ignorant prejudice that makes DEI initiatives necessary, if we want to claim to be a just society.

In the 1980s it was "welfare queens" and then it became "the gays demand special rights" and there was always "abortion on demand!" Also, "communism!" And "terrorism!" work well.

It's just the latest non-issue the Republicans dream up to get people emotional so they'll vote against their own interests.

While Americans have run around angrily decrying the latest liberal atrocity, over the past four decades the Republicans shifted most of the middle class's wealth to themselves. Then, they wrap back and blame that on Democrats too.

It's cleverly done and people fall for it. This election is a great example of how effective it is.

This year it was "prices are too high" and "immigrants are invading" and "trans people scary!"

There's always a tiny germ of truth in the talking point, but it's twisted to be the opposite of the truth.

Prices are too high - compared to salaries, which have lost ground compared to prices. Also, COVID. A very complicated issue. But easy to blame on Biden.

There's a humanitarian crisis on the border because people are fleeing crime and economic chaos in Latin American countries - many of those issues exacerbated by U.S. policies. Again, a complicated issue, reduced to "Kamala bad!"

Etc.

If you want to go viral by combatting this anti-DEI bullshit, next time you are on CNN or someplace that loves to put you against a MAGA moron, read Lee Atwater's infamous quote, word for word -- if you don't know which one I'm referring to, here: https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/exclusive-lee-atwaters-infamous-1981-interview-southern-strategy/ -- and then point out how they've simply updated the terms to CRT, now DEI, etc.

And end by dropping the mic by plainly pointing out that when they rail against these things, it is just their code for "I hate black people."

I could spend hours talking about the shitty ways I was treated because of my gender.

I remember the very first interview I went to out of school (very very high grades mind you). The guy literally started laughing when I announced I wanted to apply for his opening as an Apple Computer tech.

And it went on and on.
