Back in the 60's our band played Wipe Out once in a while just to give the drummer some.

"Freezing" is sub-zero. When it's -20 come talk to us about freezing. DC next week is T-shirt weather. I'll take DC's temp in a heartbeat!

One time my sis and I went to Boston in mid Oct.

We were wearing winter coats, hats. I don’t remember whether we had sweaters underneath.

Meanwhile walking along the Charles River we saw a bunch of people in T-shirts, or maaaaybe long sleeves but also wearing shorts!!! 😦🧊🧊🧊🧊 😄1

Another time and friend and I renting a car after we met up in Flagstaff, AZ [we r NYC'rs] were heading to The Navajo & Hopi Nations.

We stopped at a goods store before we got there. The person said it was sooo humid! We asked what it was.
30%.
This is early July.
In NYC a July day with 30% humidity would be *Glorious*!!! 🥰 😄

It was September. One of my SILs took me to a beach. She had on a bikini and went into the water. I sat on the beach laughing my ass off in a winter coat.

In Sept there I'm guessing w our differences weather wise I probably would have had light long sleeves, long pants, and a medium jacket. So in between, I think. 😄

I was in DC '93 near Xmas time staying over night at a relative's MIL to see The Clintons' salute to American Crafts:specially crafted ornaments on the inside WH trees the next day.

Snow wasn't supposed to start till mid-morning. When I left at 10A already a 1/4" inch. I just walked carefully in my sneakers to the local bus.

By the time I was on The Metro at 3PM they let the non-essential Fed workers leave.
Suddenly it was like 5PM Rush Hour in NYC! 😄

By the time I took pics of The Capitol in the dark [5 PMish] from the National Mall it was about 3" - 4" inches. I was careful, and I had heavy sneakers on. 👍

A memory just popped up from many years ago. I was sipping cool drinks at a Tiki bar in Key West in late August wearing T-shirt, shorts and sandals. Thunderstorms rolled through followed by a cold front and the the temperature dropped from mid 90s to the mid 70s and all the locals donned sweat shirts and sweaters. I took off my shirt and hopped in the pool. Yes it is relative.

🤔 I can't rember if mid 70's was pool weather for me. Definitely by upper '70s and higher.

Maaaaybe mid '70s, and humid!

I’m pretty certain he knows that people are not going to fill the mall and he will look like a fool with the small crowd size. He is pleased as punch to move it inside! The scene of his crime! How fitting! We froze our butts off at President Obama’s inauguration. Bitter cold and windy but the crowd was big and excited and nothing was stopping any of us. The weather is just an excuse.

And I refused to say "happy" New Year. My "go to" was - wishing you a safe year.
