Trump has to destroy Gov. Newsom.

Gavin Newsom is a rising Dem star and a potential rival to Trump and the GOP leaders and losers.

Trump is just getting started.

Trump intends to run again.
He has said many times that he thinks his first term should not be counted
because he was harassed.

And he told everyone votes no longer matter.

Who exactly will stop him if he runs again?

Besides he is working for Putin, the billionaires and the GOP.
He does what they want and they don't want a powerful, smart, popular Dem rising star to contend with.

However, I believe it would be a politically untenable and unprecedented position for a U.S. president to deny federal aid to one particular state after a devastating natural disaster solely for partisan reasons. And if it looks like Trump is trying to extort Newsom, denying Californians much-needed federal aid while they suffer, holding back tax dollars paid by Californians themselves, because of some personal pique, he would pay a very high price for doing so.

One has to understand Trump.

He's all about winning and revenge on those who opposed/mocked him.

He will bow out at high tide... He's going to appoint 2 more SCOTUS Justices in the next 2 years...

Thomas and Alito will retire.

I predict Kacsmaryk and Cannon will be installed.

He will be seen as one of the most consequential POTUS in US History... (consequential isn't always a positive attribute, Hitler was consequential) having replaced 5 members of the SCOTUS.

Grace and competence under pressure are admirable leadership qualities. Until this event I always thought he was unappealing because California feels like a separate subculture in a lot of ways inside "the public's mind," as my own mind perceives it. But it feels a lot different now.

Of course, I still don't grasp what "they" think about anything, since thinking doesn't seem to be a critical part of the package. I only know what comes out of mouths. It's going to be another disorienting four years, which seem to have started awfully fast after the election. Sob.

He’s also a very talented politician. I believe he will have Southern CA rebuilt in record time. That will certainly catapult him to the White House. He’ll be able to easily defeat whoever they decide to run.

I also really believe his results in CA will also help the areas still hurting from their own disasters. Lahaina. Western NC. East Palestine. He’ll have a good chance of winning 50 states doing that.

What trump says or does will be irrelevant. Newsom will show he’s a real leader.
