44 Republicans Voted Against Forest Management Wildfire Prevention in December

In December, 44 Republicans voted against HR 10545, the American Relief Act of 2025, which provided funds for wildfire prevention measures, including $75,000,000 for the "construction or maintenance of shaded fuel breaks in the Pacific Regions."

The bill also replenished federal disaster relief funds due to recent disasters such as the multiple hurricanes that have hit the east coast. Republicans frequently vote against bills that help people, and in this case, could prevent wildfire from spreading and destroying people's homes.

I read a bunch of CA reps are hanging out at MAL, kissing Trumps grotesque ass. This is a whole different world than the one I grew up in, where politicians have such lack of regard for an entire state, much less their own state & constituents.

He had absolutely nothing about the fires. He had one tweet which showed the picture of orange psycho and Obama at Carter’s funeral, which was titled with a meme : Everybody loves orange psycho 😖

Mike Crapo: nothing bad surprisingly…

Firefighters are working around the clock to fight against the California wildfires. Thank you to the brave Idaho firefighters joining forces to protect Southern California communities. I wish you safe travels and continue to pray for the victims of the fires.

damaged by a drone?

WAS JUST ONE, of the 19 highly specialized/expensive fire fighting planes sent down from Canada to help California......

Our Military, considering their near Trillion dollar budget, could have a hundred of those stationed around the U.S. on standby,
24/7/365 ready to go anywhere needed.........for when the winds die down and they can be flown safely of course.....

Which picture? I was just checking a couple of people on the list of this post who voted against it to see if they had also hypocritically tweeted against Newsom, etc..

to the leading edge of the wing of one of the Canadian Planes. Another article said that they were prohibitive in cost to manufacture specifically made for aerial wildfire fighting.....It also said that the Canadian Government sent 19 of them to California to help with the firefight, with pilots.

Many years ago, which were especially equipped for Wilderness Firefighting and used every summer.

Our Republican Governor at the time, Gov. Owens wanted to go to Washington D.C., and join Bush sooo bad he would do anything.

Bush called him and asked him for eleven of our twelve helicopters to be "parted out" to be used for spare parts.

Owens sent him the eleven of the twelve the next day...........

What can one say about Republicans, esp Republican Governors......

Interestingly, Owens was never was asked to come to Washington. It seems both Bush and Owens Wife had both learned about the SECOND child of his, born out of wedlock. I guess his wife was okay with Owens first affair that resulted in a child, but finally had enough when he had an affair with a different woman who also had his child......LOL Obviously Bush's administration wised up also.....LOL

You can bet that California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington are not going to receive any help with anything from the Trump administration because we are BLUE states. (Ps: Massachusetts had the same problem with Covid PPE not reaching them because they were a BLUE state during Trump's first reign......where as Florida received THREE TIMES the PPE they requested).

I’m not sure what the last line is? I don’t know who that is.

Plus 47.7% of CA is owned by the feds.
57% of California’s forest is federal land and only 3% is state land

... anyone with even a vestigial remnant of a conscience knows that you Republicans are pathological liars, thieves, and self-serving sociopaths. You don't have to go proving it again and again with every breath you take.

Just you wait; when your homes go up in flames, and there's no one to put it out because of your soulless greed and malice, perhaps you'll remember what you evil fucks didn't do when it was someone else's life that was reduced to ashes.

WHY, WHY, WHY are you such rotten people?

Hawley voted against wildfire prevention. Interesting since MO has a lot of wooded areas both in the Ozarks, where I believe he built a house-supposedly-as well as in urban areas. It was really dry here last summer and fall. We had a lot of red flag warnings too last year.

Maybe these Republicans would vote for these bills if they understood that it might prevent billions of dollars in losses to the insurance industry. Republicans don't care if people die and their homes burn down, but they do seem to care when a business loses money.

All they care about are tax breaks so the wealthy can continue to reduce their already minor tax burdens.
