Suddenly Donald Trump doesn't want to talk so much about the economy

On his Truth Social account, Donald Trump has spent the last few days posting maps of Greenland, picking fights with California’s governor, whining about his legal cases and sharing letters from has-been celebrities (Don King, anyone?). In opening his press conference Tuesday, the former and future president briefly (and falsely) claimed that “inflation is continuing to rage” before devoting his time to griping about the Green New Deal, Democrats “playing with the courts,” showerheads and windmills “driving the whales crazy,” among other subjects.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JOE BIDEN ISN’T GIVING HIM MUCH BAD ECONOMIC NEWS TO TALK ABOUT. LAST WEEK, OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT THE U.S. ADDED 256,000 JOBS IN DECEMBER AS THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DROPPED TO 4.1% AND WAGES GREW 3.9% FOR THE YEAR. INFLATION HAS BEEN UNDER 3% SINCE THE SUMMER AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IS STILL STRONG.

**Want A Better Economy? History Says Vote Democrat**

1. Personal disposable income has grown nearly 6 times more under Democratic presidents

2. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown 7 times more under Democratic presidents

3. Corporate profits have grown over 16% more per year under Democratic presidents (they actually declined under Republicans by an average of 4.53%/year)
Average annual compound return on the stock market has been 18 times greater under Democratic presidents (If you invested $100k for 40 years of Republican administrations you had $126k at the end, if if you invested $100k for 40 years of Democrat administrations you had $3.9M at the end)

4. Republican presidents added 2.5 times more to the national debt than Democratic presidents

5. The two times the economy steered into the ditch (Great Depression and Great Recession) were during Republican, laissez faire administrations

Trump will be first president since WWII to lose jobs during tenure. The U.S. lost 140,000 jobs in December 2020 in the final jobs report of Trump’s presidency. This means the nation has about 3 million fewer jobs than it did 4 years ago UNDER THE BLACK GUY --OBAMA, meaning Trump will be the first president to lose jobs over his term since employment data was collected in this way. NBC News Now correspondent Simone Boyce explains how it all unfolded.

With less favorablity than when Trump left. Indeed, the vast majority of Americans think Biden was not a good president.

It will be historians main task to understand why Biden, who will be considered a great president while in office, was not better recieved. He is hardly the first president that did many things well and whom the public simply didn't understand and appreciate the job done for them.

The public was used to TSF’s non stop self aggrandizement and when Joe came in, put his head down and plowed forward doing the work without a lot of fanfare, it was perceived as him not doing anything. The MSM could’ve helped but they were too busy trying to keep TSF in the news.

Is upon us so long as social media dominates.

I do wonder if Democratic contenders should take a page from Trump and act as president basically pretending to have daily policy rants. If Mark Cuban is serious, we may see just that.

Almost all the responsible articles about deportations talk about the workers paying into programs that they are extremely unlikely to collect from.
The corollary to employing citizens in those jobs is that they will have an expectation of collecting from the programs that Musk and TFG want to steal from.
