The Supreme Court's maga majority acted to protect one man from legal consequence

...with shifting and often contradictory reasoning which will NEVER be applied to or benefit any Democrat running for the presidency, or any Democratic president.

That's not only because the crimes the Roberts Supreme Court declared immune from legal judgment and consequence were committed by Donald Trump, but because, NO Democrat would EVER attempt the insurrection, election-denial, or election fraud that he committed.

No Democrat would use their DOJ against political enemies; enlist their staff or aides to try and get votes overturned; or foment a riot of the Capitol or anywhere else.

The Supreme Court's maga majority acted on Trump's behalf (and republicans') alone when they struck down his removal from the Colorado ballot for fomenting the Capitol riot; and after delaying their decision over the absurd expectations of immunity from Trump for his crimes, they granted his wishes by putting up obstacles to prosecuting a president which are so nebulous that they can apply them or refuse to grant them at their collective will and whim at the end of any appeal.

It's no mystery who those protections are designed for, because they shield a president from accountability which even the sitting president has rejected as unconstitutional and wrong for illegalities and ethical mores which most presidents, other than Trump and Nixon, have respected and avoided violating.

To be fair, they also seem designed for the next crop of republicans in power who have defended these outrages throughout, pining for their own chance to roil democracy and our nation's laws in pursuit of whatever personal or corrupt intent.

Make no mistake, this is a republican coup. They've molded their political organization to subvert these, and shepherded their supporters to elevate an abomination of our society into power over us; a political cudgel against those in this country they disagree with and stand in the way of their interests.

Now that this republican protection scheme is in full flower - with republican-nominated judges and justices from the Supreme Court to appeals courts regularly accepting cases regarding already passed legislation and ballot issues alike - voting has become a mere formality, both in the legislature and at the ballot box.

We celebrate victories in passing bills which get signed by the president, but nonetheless end up at the Supreme Court where a handful of appointed political partisans openly substitute their judgment for that of two branches of government.

The SC's maga majority is either rubbing their hands with glee these days, or nervously wondering when everyone is going to catch on to something so obvious and so dominating in our political system.

...it talks about this SC placing obstacles to their prosecution.

I wouldn't expect this report or this DOJ to start talking like politicians, though. It's not their job to reform the courts, it's our own.

Orange anus gets into office, we will not need a SCOTUS...he will declare Martial Law because of the boarder crisis, and use all levers of power against the American people and the world. Pete Hegseth gleefully eluded to this in his hearing, while his wife smirked in the background.

These are sick depraved people, and they are brought to by the Republican party and the SCOTUS.
