Grocery shopping fun

Bitch about the price when you’re looking at items and say to any nearby shopper “Damn, I thought prices were supposed to be coming down!”

Or

Just act like you’re talking to yourself when another shopper is within earshot.

Makes the Kroger experience a little more bearable.

Very close to farm folk who have ample supply of eggs. We haven’t spent more than 2 bucks a dozen for years. And we strongly believe they taste better then store bought.

I am slowly stocking up when I see things I like. Canned goods last awhile, so stocking up on some fruit and vegetables (with a decent shelf life) now is not a bad idea.

Frozen fruits and vegetables are another thing you might want to stock up on.
They retain most of their nutrients.

I need to clean it out if I can and make sure it still works (it went off-line during one of the hurricane outages). I got the actual food out but need to scrub it.

Not a bad idea, and I do have a bit of back yard where I could garden. I did learn growing up in the country in Wisconsin. The climate is different in Texas, but could probably find online groups to help with when to start vegetables etc.

I think I'm still kind of in shock that he won, but we all need to work on how we are going to hunker down and get through these next few years.

is an argument in our state about whether Fred Meyer was going to keep it's name or be changed to Smith's after Kroger bought them. Smith's won so no more Fred Meyer here. I hadn't even heard of Smith's back then.

Mainly because there were no eggs at the store I went to today. Inflation is irrelevant if there is nothing to buy.
