Of course all federal employees that Trump fires should sue and seek legal recourse however they can, including FBI agents. Perhaps there are other things that could be done. Maybe all fired federal employees should immediately be offered jobs in Blue States run by Democrats. FBI Agents could be hired in top State law enforcement agencies. CDC and NIH workers could be hired by State Departments of Health. And so on with all sorts of different federal employees. This would preserve their professional expertise in places where they could continue their work.
Furthermore, since the Trump Musk Regime seems hell bent on destroying the Federal Government then the Blue States should take over some of the functions and the powers of the Federal Government. After the Federal Government the next two largest governments in America are the California and New York state governments. Both states are currently controlled by Democrats.
Also, Blue States like California, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York and others are economic giants compared to many Red States. The Blue States should fight to get more of their Federal tax dollars back so that they can fund more programs to protect the health, well being, and prosperity of their citizens. This is not a perfect solution but is at least a partial response to the potential firing of many kinds of federal workers and experts.

(6,466 posts)Late payment rates are increasing already. Imagine if millions get fired/laidoff from government, on top of the usual layoffs (Which are also increasing).
Perhaps banks might want to think this through...

(1,386 posts)He took the job with NYS.
At one point was offered at v good job with Broward County Fl, but the bennies couldnt compared.
So glad he stayed with NYS for 30 yrs. 6 figure pension and free Medicare A & B, supplemental, and prescription drug coverage. He also gets a large life insurance policy for very little money.
Cost of living in Cap District is much less expensive, too, but salaries are high.
