US Postal Service suspends incoming parcels from China and Hong Kong

Hong Kong CNN — The US Postal Service says it has temporarily suspended the acceptance of incoming international parcels from China and Hong Kong until further notice.

It did not provide a reason for the suspension, but said in a statement Tuesday the flow of letters will not be affected. The Postal Service did not provide any additional information on the suspension when contacted by CNN.

The announcement comes just days after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order that terminated the “de minimis” exemption, a long-standing rule that allowed anyone, including exporters, to ship packages worth less than $800 to the United States without duties or needing to undergo inspections.

The new rule is likely to affect e-commerce sites like Shein and Temu, which have built their gargantuan business models around this exemption. The relaxed restrictions and tax exemptions on cheap products have allowed more than a billion packages to pour into the US at low prices for consumers looking for deals on clothing to household goods.

serious important matters. But if they can't get their Temu or Shein packages that will make upset.

In fact, last night I just ordered three model kits from Lucky models in Hong Kong at fabulous prices because they're made there. They can get them cheaper than shops in the US can get them. Although I support us shops also to spread things around. But they had some brand new kits at half. The price I would have had to pay here and one kit on special for $9.99 that cost $38 here, everywhere.
So I happily ordered + should be here in 2 weeks but now.... I don't know if I'm ever going to see them.
Because where are they going to go? What's going to happen to them? If they put them in the post in Hong Kong they're gone. I'll never find out where they went.

What the f*** harm has an online hobby shop that just provides a fun and engaging pastime for lots and lots of people, especially kids who build Gundam kits, ever done to deserve this?

it is due tomorrow but it is through Amazon so maybe it won't be affected by this at all or so quickly. This is the only one I can use now due to my and one of my cat's asthma because it is so low dust.
