Should Dem states Governors try to protect the Constitution

to put a stop to that coup d'etat, could they command their NG to (what?).

Possible? Or not?

They took the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, right?

Just asking the question here (hoping to help calm the extreme anxiety caused by the gangsters).
