IMHO Thune only recited what 4th or 5th graders learn in a civics class.

Asked Senate Majority Leader John Thune if he believes the WH should comply with court orders halting several Trump actions.

“The courts, obviously are the sort of the branch of our government that calls balls and strikes, and referees, and I think that they've got an important role to play," he said.

"We have three branches of our government in this country, co-equal and independent branches, and the judiciary is the one that resolves some of the differences that often occur between executive and legislative branches," he continued, adding that he expects federal courts to continue to play "the important role of ensuring that the laws in the country are followed."

Thune's been a massive disappointment. Always considered him one of the adults in the playroom. allegorical oracle Feb 10 #1
He has to choose his words carefully so Trump's goons don't firebomb his house. Ocelot II Feb 10 #3
