What is going on with the child he uses as a prop on TV? He has 13 plus; where are the rest of them? Was it take a child to work day? Is it supposed to humanize him?

(15,377 posts)There is a fundamental disconnect. The fascist culture hates EVs. They like big fat ICE trucks. The CyberCuck is not that. Tesla's board, under normal circumstances, would be voting Musk out of a job. Tesla shareholders ought to be suing over the damage he is doing to the Holy Shareholder Value.

(16,963 posts)I have only ever seen 2 on the street and one in a grocery parking lot. I did once see a car transport van headed out of state loaded with them. If a person has enough money to buy a new truck, no one I know in this business would spend their money on that hunk of junk.

I like to trade but since Im no expert on futures/options, I stay away from them. I think Im going to have to change that. Some investors have been making very good money betting against a lot of Musk companies.

(2,011 posts)Just search for Tesla leveraged ETFs, both bull and bear. Theyre basically like options without the complications and can be bought and sold with most brokerages and have a regular ticker symbol. I wont post the actual ticker since I dont want to push any of them. They do have fees and usually theyre leveraged 2x so if the stock falls 5% in a day, youre up 10% with the inverse ETF, but of course the opposite is also true. Theyre available for many popular well known stocks now.
Be warned, you can definitely get burned on these so be really careful with these. Good luck.

(4,183 posts)For awhile now. Banks sell down $5.5 billion of Musk's X debt to investors, source says
Standard procedure but I think the banks know Musk has a propensity to shoot himself in the foot. On the bright side, maybe Tesla can issue a "back to the office" order on Musk. Better he putter around Tesla's headquarters than the halls of Federal government.

The market cap is still over 8x assets & over 10x revenue.

For the quarter, Tesla said it delivered 495,930 vehicles globally, missing analyst estimates of around 510,400 as compiled by Bloomberg. This figure is above the 463,000 delivered last quarter and the 484,500 delivered a year ago.
For 2024, Tesla delivered 1.78 million vehicles, missing analyst estimates for 1.8 million and resulting in a total below 2023s 1.8 million vehicles delivered. This is the first year-over-year decline for Tesla, hinting that new competition, demand, and global economic conditions may be hurting the company
Tesla stock fell over 6% on Thursday.
