Trump's dropped the fantastical talk of 'buying' Gaza, and replaced it with a despot's vow to "take" it

...Trump just pushed past any ambiguity today and just blurted out in front of Jordan's king that he intends to just 'take" Gaza from the over two million people who live there.

"We're going to take it. We're going to hold it. We're going to cherish it," Trump told reporters as he met Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House .

Trump claimed that "a lot of jobs" would be created across the region if a US takeover of the devastated territory were to happen.

"I think it could be a diamond," he said, adding that he now believes the US is "above" having to threaten other countries to participate.

He's dropped the fantastical talk of 'buying' the land to an autocratic arrogance which would have Americans participating in nothing less than ethnic cleansing of the people there. Nothing says leader of the free world like a little ethnic cleansing.

And it's not going to be something he has enough cooperation to achieve from the countries he's expecting to receive the people he intends to rout from their present home.

Egypt, Jordan and other American allies in the Middle East have already rejected the idea of relocating more than 2 million Palestinians from Gaza elsewhere in the region. Following Trump’s remarks, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement stressing the need for rebuilding “without moving the Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip.”

Saudi Arabia, an important American ally, weighed in quickly on Trump’s expanded idea to take over the Gaza Strip in a sharply worded statement, noting that its long call for an independent Palestinian state was a “firm, steadfast and unwavering position.”

“The kingdom of Saudi Arabia also stresses what it had previously announced regarding its absolute rejection of infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands or efforts to displace the Palestinian people from their land,” the statement said.

No one in the region is ready or even willing to pay for the resettlement of Palestinians, even, as Trump ignorantly suggested, if they wanted to leave. Neither are we.

The ONLY way Trump is going to create movement out of Gaza is by force, U.S. military troops on the ground after a withering U.S. military bombing campaign. That will widen war against the U.S. well beyond Gaza's borders, and create American 'ownership' of not only the deliberately inflamed Gaza strip, but of the entire conflict in the region, isolated on the opposing side.

Trump's insane, and he'll get as many of our troops killed in the Middle East as he can to make this stupid, unsustainable, megalomanical brag of his look real.

Welcome to U.S. at war in the Middle East slaughterhouse, again. Or... there's the 25th Amendment.

He probably knows this is a crazy plan, but since he's infallible, he can't back down now. There must be someone in his advisors pushing this, otherwise his short attention span might let him just forget about it.

...more than that, he's going to want a big diversion when it starts rolling back on him.

I've always thought that he's regretted not deploying the military forces on a large scale mission in his last term, to hold Americans hostage to that self-interested and aggrandizing enterprise.

Much like Bush did with Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's sad, and hopefully not tragic, that he's oblivious to the folly almost everyone in the world recognizes for the U.S. to wade back into conflict which was once perpetuated by our adversaries as deliberate bait to keep our troops fighting and dying there at enormous expense and sacrifice.

No one could make up a character like him. There are so many psychological disorders running free in his head. That’s why his makeup shades alternate. One is white, one is yellow, can’t skip orange or bronze.

...which is marked by these daily delusions of grandeur, coupled with a need to saitiate that psychosis with more and more grandious actions.

He thinks he owns America because of the election, and he's looking to trade us in for a newer, musky model. To Trump, we're all to be subject to his every will and whim without recourse, like servants.

He wants locking up in an institution. He thinks he's fucking King George! He was mentally ill, as well.

In 1778 George lapsed into a months-long period of violent insanity. He was restrained with a straitjacket and suffered various treatments as crisis of rule unfolded around him. He recovered the next year and reigned for the next 12... wiki

Not only is this the very definition of ethnic cleansing it would paint a huge target that can be seen from the ISS on our nation and citizens living abroad. I still don't believe it will actually happen. There will likely be token moves but nothing more is my prediction. I could be wrong though.
