I don't think Trump thought this one through.
There a a whole lot of people out there who think Trump is destroying the country, and some of them may decide to remove him as a way of saving the country.
He appears to be giving a green light for someone to assassinate him.

We should all print Trump's statement & carry it with us. If a cop tries to arrest us for trespassing or disturbing the peace or whatever (at a Tesla dealership, for example) we can just show the cop & tell them we're saving the country so we're not violating any law & if they don't like it they should take it up with Donald Trump.

He's planting the seed to do something that is blatantly Unconstitutional or criminal. An insurance policy when something goes to shit he can claim it was for the good of the nation and the SCROTUS will gladly get his back with that "presidential immunity" bullshit.
