'Elon, I hate to break it to you': Dem senator nails Musk in battle over firing threat

February 23, 2025 12:00PM ET

Setting aside "Minnesota nice," Democratic Sen. Tina Smith told off billionaire Elon Musk after he lashed out at her for calling out his "ultimate d-ck boss move" where he threatened federal workers.

That has now grown into a social media battle.

"This is the ultimate d-ck boss move from Musk - except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a d-ck," she wrote before adding, "I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss - there’s an email in your inbox on Saturday night saying, 'Prove to me your worthiness by Monday or else.' I’m on the side of the workers, not the billionaire a--hole bosses."

Not one to take slight easily, the seemingly always online billionaire head of DOGE wrote to Smith on X, "What did you get done last week?"

That brought about a response from Smith –– who will be retiring at the end of her current term–– on Sunday morning.

"Elon, I hate to break it to you but you aren’t my boss. I answer to the people of Minnesota. But since you bring it up, I spent last week fighting to stop tax breaks for billionaires like you, paid for by defunding health care for moms and babies." she wrote.

And call them out on their BS.

The women do it in a way that men are afraid to do.

Men aren't afraid of women, but boys are scared of females who seem like Mommy. They want little girls they can feel superior to, who will look up to them.

I wouldn't say I exactly forgot about 4Chan. They certainly helped tank Hillary.

But I didn't put it together until recently that this is who we are dealing with.

He's possibly worse that TCF on that topic.

Was thinking about a friend in AZ CPS who described 'un-bonded child' condition/personality to me years ago. Wondering how many GOP pols and their antisocial, perpetually cranky supporters suffer with the condition.

musk needs to take care of his own children. He’s got a child who has some sort of sickness and he’s not helping his own sick child.

But he's probably harboring resentment over Skum getting so much attention.

BTW, hat tip to Susie Madrak at Crooks & Liars for "Yambo".
