(38,907 posts)is Johnson having to go to Hakeem to get a budget through. That precludes their big tax break for billionaire tech leaders, so if he's right, this is good news.
He also cites other reasons the administration will collapse, such as the nosedive in approval ratings. This will not bounce back because there is no easy remedy, considering the position musk has over trump and the fact that musk is highly likely to be on drugs and in for a meltdown any day now.
There's also the Russia report about trump being an asset, which was posted here in the last few days. If that gains traction, who knows what could happen.
A collapse is not farfetched. As Carville says, they are beginning the collapse now and he, Carville, is not the only person saying this.
Oh, one other thing: he says that Democrats actually handled this well because they knew all along this would happen. It does explain the smirks and laughter at the post-election events.

(41,125 posts)Is what Johnson wants to hear. Every day the fake Christian wants relief from trump and musk. And republicans are so much better in the minority. They love to hate and obstruct and lie. Its easier to do when youre not in charge. And they dont know how to be in charge. Leadership, governance and money management are way over the heads of republicans.

(3,495 posts)And who is the assclown interviewing him?
Carville loves nothing better than running down Democratic women elected officials, and especially if he can brand them dismissively as "Progressives", which to him means anyone to the left of Bill Clinton.
I feel gross listening to him, but I keep periodically giving him a few minutes of my time, and get pissed all over again.

(38,907 posts)Is Dan Abrams. He is a longtime legal analyst (also a lawyer, of course) and in fact, is acting as legal analyst for ABC News now.
He's been around for a long time. I was surprised to see him. He looks really good for his age.
He's not only an announcer, he owns his own production company. I can remember watching him way back when on the OJ Simpson case.

(3,495 posts)He kinda revelled when describing Fox's depiction of Dem heads exploding, and I didn't listen long enough to hear it he explained which Trump nominees Dems overreacted to.
NJCher
(38,907 posts)and it's unwarranted because most Dems have been very good about not falling into the r-w foolishness.
Even those who respond, like Jasmine, do it such a way as to make it clear they think of their behavior as silly and childish.

(10,918 posts)I picture in my mind, him being interviewed on Election night 2016. He was laughing when he heard that Trump won.
Another talking head asked him why he was laughing and Carville said this.......
"Those voters for Trump are gonna learn the hard way, that their voting has consequences"............
and he kept on chuckling to himself.......

We have got to get better than this!

(22,892 posts)if you could ask drumpf what would be the most helpful thing for Democrats to do, so he can end democracy and rule like a king, his answer would be the same thing Carville thinks Democrats should do.

(1,653 posts)Seems like he hasn't been right since 1992....
He helped drive our President out of the 2024 campaign---
--- and then he assured us that Kamala Harris would WIN!
(I thought so too, but I am not a professional).
By logic, he ought to be correct here--
but I think he should just shut the fuck up and go sit in a rocker on the porch
(which I am attempting to do, myself)
He was right about "it's the economy, stupid" in 1992,
but I don't recall him saying that over the past election cycle....
