I'm in a Blue State, California....

My Representative is Ted Lieu and my Senators are Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla......I'll call their offices to express my concern about Social Security.....But they are already doing what they can.

I just officially retired last year at 66 1/2 and Social Security is my main income. I still substitute teach but I HAVE to have my SS to live......And I've put into it since I was 16 y.o.!

I'm hoping all DU'ers will call their representatives as well. Especially those in Red States.
There's a long list of MAJOR concerns. I realize Social Security is just one of them. Somehow we need to create a groundswell...

I'm not very articulate this morning because I just feel so down (as do all of my friends - I mean we're bordering on depression).

I think I'll call other U.S. Senators' offices too (Lisa Murkowski, John Cornyn - I was born and raised in TX)....

If you've taken any offense in this post, please don't pile on me. I'm pretty fragile....

Red state dems are going to make all the good trouble we can. Why is Florida so MAGA-tized? I could joke about needing to build a northern wall, to keep out the invasive non-native scoundrels but we also grow our own.

Californian also. But that warm glow chills a bit when I realize that tsf and putin will be targeting blue states and Cali will be the prime target. They will try to break our economy by delaying or refusing disaster relief funds while still expecting us to repair roads in Montana and Wyoming with our gas taxes.

I would love a take over of Washington, Oregon and Cali by Canada.

Yeah..... I know.
