Will he cross a Bridge Too Far even for them?
Will some event (s) triggered by him wake them up?
I already know what many of you are thinking, if an insurrection won't do it, nothing will, but is there a proverbial "tipping point" in this?

(31,491 posts)But maybe there are a dozen Republicans negotiating with Democrats and will move without notice to a neutral / Independent position. Things can turn in a hurry if there are any brave Republicans in the caucus.

(2 posts)Were only about 7 weeks into this administration, and there are A LOT of angry people, including GOP. Many maga have veterans or active military in their families who stand to lose jobs or benefits. Many MAGA are seeing their friends, family, coworkers and neighbors facing crises. I believe (just from speaking with folks), that the shock has now morphed into anger. Think of the protests and town hall meetings all over the country in just the past week! I think the gop will turn on him (were already seeing stress cracks in their foundation), and his administration will implode by summer. We mustnt lose heart.
