Dolly Parton has released a new song in honor of her late husband Carl Dean, following his death at 82 on Monday.

Titled “If You Hadn’t Been There,” the song is an ode to their nearly 60 years of marriage.

Announcing the song’s release in a Friday Instagram post, Parton wrote: “I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old. We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together. Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song. He will always be the star of my life story, and I dedicate this song to him. ‘If You Hadn’t Been There.’”

Everyone in the studio had tears streaming down their face, gathered around Dolly, hugged and reassured Dolly that they would always be there for her.
