If Schumer says the shutdown is worse for us than voting for the CR...

Then shouldn't some pukes be voting against their own resolution, and wanting a shutdown?

I think it matters politically if it's a unilateral Republican shutdown or if democrats are involved unblock Mar 2025 #2

Because the shutdown would only be worse for us if they could blame us for it because we filibustered a bill that had majority support.

If a Republican voted to filibuster… it couldn’t be blamed on democrats

If republicans kill the continuing resolution and engineer a shutdown unilaterally, then yes, they can do all those things under a shutdown.

But then, they have a harder time blaming democrats.

By proposing a poison pill continuing resolution, they force democrats to choose between boiling water and frying pan.

The continuing resolution hands Donnie more powers, but killing it gives him shutdown powers but this time seemingly by choice of democrats because they gave us this horrible choice.

What republicans didn't want was a clean continuing resolution, and they don't want the blame for a shutdown. So they larded up the continuing resolution to the point where they're indifferent if it passes or not.

They win either way because the game is rigged. We have a choice between losing and losing.

Our only concern should be in organizing resistance and building anti-fascist momentum.
