So there wasn’t an actual victim in this case. Probably not his first time, though — so there could be victims out there.

As has been pointed out elsewhere in this thread, the age of consent in Minnesota is 16 IF the other party is 24 or fewer months older than the 16-year-old, so as a 40-year-old, this creep had no business soliciting sex with this imaginary teen, paid or otherwise. Obviously, even Trump-humpers will find his behavior unacceptable, so hopefully he’s washed up politically.

As for the age of consent, 16 and a grown adult that's a conversation for the state's voters. But in my opinion anybody over 21 involved with anybody under 18 should be considered a criminal. That would have included my own parents.

why would law enforcement utilize a decoy portraying a 16 year old? If your intent is to catch solicitors of prostitution why not just use an adult. Since 16 is the age of consent in that state. If you're after solicitors of minors, the decoy, I would think would be portrayed as 15 or younger.
