House GOP moves swiftly to impeach judge targeted by Trump

House GOP moves swiftly to impeach judge targeted by Trump

Just hours after President Trump called for the impeachment of a federal judge who ruled against his deportation of hundreds of Venezuelans over the weekend, House Republicans introduced a measure to do just that.

Why it matters: GOP lawmakers have unleashed an unprecedented flood of long-shot impeachment articles aimed at federal judges who are standing in the way of the president's agenda.

This seems like bluster that will hurt their ability to stay united. Republicans in more moderate districts are already feeling the heat and this temper tantrum won't help with that. I'm sure the most fervent believers will eat it up. But maybe we'll get really lucky and like the guy in Minnesota who was so concerned with "Trump Derangement Syndrome" this guy will also find himself under arrest for disgraceful crimes.

I wonder if the Supreme court is going to let the gopigs continue with all of their bullshit little stunts, or if Roberts will finally say enough is enough, and put the clamp down on his boys.

It doesn’t matter how much of a ‘longshot,’ this is further proof of the reprehensible right’s contempt for the rule of law, to seek to impeach judges who follow the Constitution when Trump refuses to do so.
