General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsTook me 3 minutes to hate Morning Joe again.
I tuned out politics in general totally until about 2 weeks ago since the election. my blood pressure couldnt handle it.
soon as i heard morning joe went to florida to fondle trumps testicles when he won, yeah i was done.
2 weeks ago i tried to go back.
i figured that since trump and elon have been such a disaster that even mika and joe went back to being the resistance.
mind you i used to watch 2 to 3 hours of joe. every fucking day.
now? i cant stomach them at all.
but i tried.
then today mika talked about shumar and the dems agreeing to pass the gops budget.
i was hoping for " what the fuck chuck. you cant let the dem party be a part of this madness. you need to be the opposition. the resistance. "
instead she said ' thank god the dems gave the gop the votes they needed to pass their budget. otherwise trump and elon would have been even a worse disaster than they are now. giving them even more power to destroy the country.'
and when joe agreed, im like wow. they are still drinking the kool aid. im out. again.
no damn it no!!! let the gop wreck it all. as much as possible.
thats how the dems can win!!!!!!!!!@#!@!@#!@#!@#!@#
trump is destroying it anyway, open or closed.
thats not going to stop.
if they have more power to fuck things up for the next 2 years then give it to them, dont go along with it. dont give your approval for it.
what the fuck is the democrat leadership thinking?
back away from this train wreck as far as possible for the next 2 years.
but you gotta let it happen and dont try to get on the tracks and stop the train.
if you want to win and survive anyway.
so once again bye bye morning joe for now.

Thank god our elected leaders can see the big picture as well as the short-term dangers.

(11,192 posts)It sucks all the way around but Schumer did the best thing. It probably will cost him dearly but it was the right move.

(6,670 posts)*cut and dried, or as simple as many seem to believe.
Blue Full Moon
(3,147 posts)Shumer is out of touch and needs to go. Bloodless revolution if the democrats allow it.

(6,670 posts)And which of those choices would make life easier for Trump and harder for ordinary citizens? Schumer is not out of touch, he's not dumb, he's not a coward, he's not a traitor, he's not collaborating with the Trump administration. It was a difficult choice between two options that were bad, but not equally bad. He lives in the real world, just like I do.

(18,718 posts)...i watch local tv for news and weather and change channel immediately if any trump related blah blah comes on.

(895 posts)and doesn't really mean much to me, and I have my weather app.
If TFG does/says anything important, I'll find out about it here on DU.
My blood pressure can't take 24/7 trump.

(40,579 posts)quit watching them after their Mar-a-Lago ass kissing 💋 Trump adventure.

(58,277 posts)Joe and Mika are today's quislings. They couldn't kiss Mump's ass fast enough. Which tells us their motives very clearly.
Also, they're complete imbeciles.
It's shocking they have an audience.

We are fast heading into a recession thanks to Musk, Trump and their toadies. The have already stopped funding ythe Government, trying to break it. Let them pay the price for not funding.

(5,267 posts)And I won't watch MSNBC until those two assclowns are fired.
Do you hear me, MSNBC, Comcast? I'm sure I'm not alone in taking this action.

(10,912 posts)... but I think Chuck had a good point, and he knows more about government than this poster... However, I do agree with your feelings about Joe & Mika. At one point, they all got "the giggles" this morning. Everyone was laughing. I agree it's sometimes the "best medicine," but the wealthy panel laughing at Crooked Donald's deeds make me turn it off.

(58,277 posts)opinion about Chuck, but that's what we're here for. To share our opinions.
I think the level of anger in this fight is a measure of how frightened we all are and how much we want SOMETHING to work.
Because this is terrifying.
I guess they think Americans losing their jobs and the dismantling of our government is funny. In fact they think its hilarious. And Joe Yuk with that horrible girl laugh.

(24,848 posts)Pelosi, Clyburn, and every Democratic House member except one voted against it.
Who knows more?
I think he's 100% wrong; not just because he voted for it, but because he left the House members hanging.

(6,398 posts)When they added an hour to the Morning Joke time slot I stopped watching MSNBC at all in the morning. When CNN fired Brian Stetler I stopped watching them in the morning too. I used to turn on CNN when I got up and switch at the end of MJ. Now I don't watch any of them unless I see massive news breaking here on DU. I have a classic western channel on now in the morning.

(57,514 posts)Republicans call us the "Democrat Party" instead of our actual name, the Democratic Party, because they like to emphasize the "rat" as the last syllable. Yes, they are that juvenile. Please don't adopt their incorrect wording.
As far as Joe and Mika, I wish MSNBC had fired them instead of Joy Reid.

(31,619 posts)Watched a moment of MSNBC in my entire life. I would not even know who the talking heads are if not for the posts about them and their so-called amazing insights mentioned here daily. I don't understand the hero worship, frankly.
Broadcast "journalists" are not big contributors to the good of society in this day and age. They're overpaid and a dime a dozen. This post lends evidence to the existence of their detrimental effects.
I'd rather read.
Take care of yourself, Garion_55.

(67,791 posts)I was wondering what Joe and Mika would have to say this morning. Glad you filled me in. I guess I didn't miss much.
Did anybody push back on them?
