NBC News is running an article with that title that I thought looked interesting. It turned out to be a Biden bashing exercise, however, so I won't link to it. I'm all for constructive criticism and have dished some of my own out lately, but this crossed the line.
The gist of it seemed to be that Biden has offered to help the party in any way that would help but "insiders" think he's too old and represents the past. It then goes on to slam Dems in general for not being able to agree on a message. It also pushes the the poll showing low favorability ratings for the party.
The reason I'm sharing this is because I think it's another example of how the media just HATES Joe Biden. They are responsible for trump being in the WH now IMO. They are not afraid to show disdain and disrespect for a President who always tried to help the American people and showed respect to them even when it wasn't returned.
And now, they seem to be issuing a warning: if you try to step back into the spotlight, we will turn on you again. DUers have demanded that he speak up, but I don't think the press would treat his efforts fairly. It's probably time for a new face who isn't afraid to get down in the mud with the R's and the press.

Joe is too American, too much of a true patriot to serve kraznov's media agenda.
Sickening.

(15,058 posts)the unfair treatment of Joe Biden. He is still the best president in my lifetime. I was born during the Eisenhower era.
I would love to see him and the other Democratic presidents get back into it. We (well, maybe not DUers) need to be reminded of what decent human beings our Democratic presidents are, particularly in contrast with the shit storm occupying our White House now. As far as what the "insiders" think... how did running him out work out for them? If they're afraid of him representing the past, I'll take the past over the present any day at this point. I'm longing for the 90s when our biggest problem was a blow job.

(24,486 posts)has become in my senior years. Maybe it was national pride, but what is happening here I would believe only happened to other nations, to banana republics. Yet here we are.
I wonder how it will all end?

(24,247 posts)But Chris Murphy for example receives much better coverage than Biden from what I've seen. I have just never seen the level of vitriol that I saw with Biden during the last 2 years of his term. The press would literally scream at him and interrupt repeatedly when he tried to answer. It was appalling and unprofessional. All on live TV, so they weren't trying to hide it.

(55,910 posts)Bashing Joe is an obvious way to curry favor with Donnie, and being even remotely respectful to Joe is a sure way to puss Donnie off.
The media is now thoroughly corrupt and we cannot get a fair shake from them in the current setup.

I see he really has his finger on what is important right now. Ginned up "scandals" about Biden are really cutting edge journalism, right?

(59,147 posts)President Biden has the most knowledge & has changed with the times. We would be well served if he was listened to.

(8,103 posts)He could be feeble and sundowning right now. We don't know.
But, if he's good to go, I don't see why he can't give a guest speech on someone's tour. For one thing, it would encourage other prominent Dems to do their own tours with him as a guest speaker. Also, with the former First Lady.
He probably needs to fact check trump during these rah rah speeches. There are so many lies being told about his tenure. He could recite the economy facts. That would do the most harm to the Repubs. We are going down the tubes with trump.
I know it would draw heat to him, but Joe never seemed afraid of anything. He is being disparaged almost every day. He was a great President during a very troubling time. I would have no trouble hearing him speak on behalf of the United States against Trump.
