There's going to have to be an insane amount of effort to counter the right-wing propaganda that permeates every facet of public discourse before things change.

There could be several reasons why they didn't vote. You do know that voter suppression is real. You do know that just getting a photo ID is difficult for a lot of people. You do realize that it's difficult for some folks to get off work to vote.

I would start with the non-voters that have voted for Democrats in the past. Reach out to them. If successful, we can craft a message that counters right wing propaganda.

But the vast majority of the 90 million that didn't vote are uninformed and disengaged. Again, it's going to take an enormous amount of work to counter the rightwing propaganda that pervades every inch of public discourse.

The party needs to become a presence in their lives. Hold meetings. Attend rallies. Help them get the government assistance that they may need. Help them register to vote. Help them get to the polls.

IOW, instead of being a fundraising machine, the Democratic party needs to become a service oriented party. They need more people in the field helping every day Americans with their needs.

But that's not the same thing as assuming we just need to get the 90 million that didn't vote to get out and vote.

This is what we should be doing instead of this reaching out bullshit.

Trying to get a portion of the rightwing voteis a waste of time, money, and effort. Magats are a lost cause.

Dems need to start clearly showing to the masses what is at stake and why we are headed toward losin our Democracy to fascism.

We need to show the non-voters that this isn't a competition between Dems and republicans anymore, this is an effort to save our Democracy, we don't care what party they're registered with or if they're not registered with any party at all.

This fight is a fight for all Americans to join against those who are very close to takng our America away from all of us.
