'My plan is to blow the whistle': Fired FTC official puts Trump on notice

This firing was illegal and these commissioners are going to call trump out

Appearing on MSNBC on Thursday afternoon, former Federal Trade Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya lashed out at Donald Trump for purportedly illegally firing him and noted he would be going on the road to tell people about the corruption he sees occurring within the president's administration.

Bedoya, who was fired along with fellow Democrat Rebecca Kelly Slaughter earlier in the week, announced his dismissal on X and caused a stir with his accusations at that time.

On X, he wrote, "I am a commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission. The president just illegally fired me," before adding, "Why? Because I have a voice. And he is afraid of what I’ll tell the American people.”.....

"I know you're going to be in Denver for an event tomorrow with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), as he is doing this series of rallies against what he says is the American oligarchy. Tell us more about what's next for you and how you plan to fight back," host Cabrera prompted her guest.

"My plan is to blow the whistle about what will happen if what the president is doing is allowed to go forward," he replied. "You mentioned Mr. [Elon] Musk, you're looking at the guy who's responsible for enforcing a 20-year privacy consent decree against Twitter, against the company we now know as X. If people like Mr. Musk, if people like [Amazon founder] Jeff] Bezos can pick and choose who enforces the laws against them, that's not a democracy –– that's an autocracy and a corrupt one at that."

"That is what I'm going to try to fight to avoid and warn people about what's to come," he added.
