"SNIP.......

A Republican Board of Elections employee in New York City was charged with taking kickbacks in exchange for jobs working the polls, the New York Times reports.

.........SNIP"

Applegrove: a fish rots from the head down. With Trump and Musk corrupt it is no surprise people with less power are being corrupt too.

1. That title and body make no sense at together.

The article (the entirety of which you have quoted) is about accepting kickbacks - not pressuring others to pay them.

The title is about pressuring others to pay kickbacks.

While the title may be justified by a fuller exploration of whatever charges were brought, it isn't justified by the body of the article.

I owe them the traffic I feel. Plus the link to the main article is always in the body of the out-take (unless it is a source I do not like).

It can be clickbait. Just put me on ignore and you won't have to worry about Political Wire. I find it a good resource.

As I put it on another post earlier today, we will be experimenting with the Trickle Down Theory of Kleptocracy. Everybody is going to want a piece of the action--and think they deserve it because, well, look at the guys in charge!

Kleptocracy also breeds bitterness, resentment and just will further divide us as we (not us here at DU, but many Americans) try to victimize each other to get our piece of the pie. This'll be especially true of the pathetic people who look up to Trump as a model, an example.

From almost every angle you can look at what is unfolding, it's just miserable.
