Another Christofascist bites the dust?

I apologize if this has been posted already, but did anybody see this post (sorry it is on X/Twitter)?

In a recently unearthed November 2023 letter from the leadership of San Diego Reformed Church, where he once pastored, Joel Webbon, pastor of Covenant Bible Church and the personality behind Right Response Ministries, was accused of a ten-month sexual relationship with his own parishioner and avoiding church discipline for other sins alleged by the elders and deacons. I have been able to confirm this relationship via a former congregant of San Diego Reformed Church (then called The Response Church).

The "Temu Matt Walsh" is one of those frequently featured on Right Wing Watch and promotes the notion women should not have the right to vote.

Webbon has apparently responded, not by denying the allegation but that it was supposed to be "confidential." He promises a "thorough response statement" soon.

I mean he's a dick for not wanting women to be able to vote of course, but sleeping with a congregant, assuming they're of legal age and it was consenting, who cares? Does he also push 'sex is for reproduction only' kind of garbage?

He is also unhappy with the fact this information has been made public. He doesn't deny the allegations.

Regardless of my opinion of Webbon and his appalling, wildly extreme politics or his unpleasant online persona.

The problem for Webbon is how this relates to certain parts of scripture that he uses a lot to justify his own misogynistic ideas. People applying those same ideas he's advocated for might now conclude that he should be disqualified on the basis of past behaviour.
