Police said we have to leave our rally/protest if the 'other side' gets violent

We’re having our third rally for democracy and Ukraine…. Or protest against Trump/Musk today.
I went to the City of Alamogordo NM and then to the police just to let them know what’s going on and I copied a comment from Facebook group saying they (the other side, Trump supporters) will shoot us with water rockets.
Police said we would have to leave if there is any problem. I’m 99% sure the police should separate them from our legal protest, protecting us.
We’ll see.

I gave them an old police report from when a pro-Bush knocked me into the street. Two years later, he killed a man.
Police should separate protesters on different sides of political issues according to the ACLU.
