What we want is for you to fight.
In the House you do not have the power to stop the Republicans, in the Senate you have decided not to try and stop them.
What is left is going out and shouting from the mountain tops that what is happening is Unconstitutional, Criminal, Corrupt, Traitorous, and will destroy America.
Go tell it on the mountain. Speak truth to power. Staying in the Halls of Congress and "doing the job" you were voted in for will do nothing. We want a vocal opposition, not a Party that sits on it's hands while the nation burns.
You are doing nothing to get voters to give you back the Congress in 2026.
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

(37,951 posts)Morale.
Keeping people's spirits up. Keeping them on board.
All my life I've heard people talking about being inspired by JFK and RFK (Sr.), about how they were motivated for a cause, but these days, when young people flat out say that no one is inspiring them, all they get is scolding.
How tough is it to actually go out there and fire people up? Apparently very, especially when the things you'd need to say to do so would put you at odds with other interests (particularly wealthier ones).
So morale-building is always given the short-shrift and the people who try to do so are treated as pests. And we end up with lower turnout and people spalling off to the Green goobers.
are more important it seems.
