If they really cut off Social Security tomorrow it would be an apocalyptical event

I see some posters saying vultures would come in and buy cheap assets. The assets would be worthless.

about it. Many elderly and young people out on the streets, housing and building industry decimated, stores closing. They are actually trying to cause the economy to crash. They are pure evil.

Fortunately, for being 72 I am in good physical shape with no aches and pains. Now I know why when I go grocery shopping early in the morning that I see older men pulling the product forward on the shelves. I tell them, "Looking good" and they are appreciative. That could well be me someday.
I do have a van to live in (ironically, I had thought of living the van life when I retired) but the day would come when I'm not have money for gas. Then what? Winter in Wisconsin would be hell because this last one was when I had a house.

So Social Security is very important to me. It's not much, but at least I can live on it. Now, every month, I'm hoping that I get that month's check or if my money will be stolen from me.
But I trusted my nation would repay the money with interest that was taken from every one of my paychecks for 40 years.

Welcome to America. I wonder what the other nations of the free world think of what has happened here?

I agree but idiots like Lutnick scare people when they say most people wouldn't miss a payment.

with the particular dickheads in charge of everything.

They have never wanted for anything in their lives.

They have zero idea what it is like to even shop for their own groceries. They can not even imagine a scenario where the amount of a Social Security payment would even be an inconvenience to their budget.

They have no idea what living as an ordinary person is like. Heck, they have probably not had an actual conversation with an ordinary person in years if not decades.

The idea is to render it useless by "executive odors"

So more money for tax cuts by billionaires and then to privatize it.
