1. Right, because sending them to slave camps, and not their point of origin was the correct call

6. Yes, the framing is definitely problematic. It's not like Johnathan Karl used the word "admit" in his question.

I was going to rewrite the headline, but decided to go with attribution and quotation marks.

US foreign policy in the 60s/70's/80s? Killing Democracy...think of Central/South American as political laboratories. How to install pro-corporate interests in place of the people's interests? We reap what we sow.

4. As guilty as anyone because I've almost supported open borders. But it likely cost us election as much as any issue.

But this junk of arresting good people, breaking up families, etc., is not the way to do it.

I don’t think Biden allowed an unusual number of people in compared to previous admins. But could have put a show on to at least look like we were serious. I definitely think this issue could have swayed 2% or so of trump voters.

Sanders comments were smart.

(snip)

He wants to deport 20 million people who are in this country who are undocumented. Well, you do that, you destroy the entire country. Because, I got news for you, Trump’s billionaire friends are not going to pick the crops in California that feed us. They’re not going to work in meat packing houses. That’s what undocumented people are doing.

So, we need a variety of programs, guest worker programs, but mostly comprehensive immigration reform.

Illegal immigration did not "explode" under Biden. All of the fear about this is racist bullshit.

Without these immigrants, our economy would collapse.

These are human beings in any case running from some pretty dire situations.
