The attack on the Houthis was about the U.S./Russia getting control of the Suez Canal.

Look at a map of the Arctic Circle. Putin has control of Russia and Alaska (via Trump). He'd like control of Canada and Greenland. As the polar ice cap melts, new shipping lanes will open up.

Anyone who controls canals and shipping lanes controls the world. Country won't do what you say? Prevent their ships from using "your" canals and routes.

It's a way to starve the world into submission. Grain grown in Ukraine, the U.S., and Canada feeds the world.
