That is the simple message we have to get across. Rs want to redirect the SS payroll taxes we all pay into the pockets of the billionaires. Those taxes will no longer fund programs for the general public. Has any R proposed ending the payroll deduction for SS? Don't think so.
Am I wrong?

(9,617 posts)If the Republicans cut SS benefits by 20-30% as a one time remedy to save SS, and then ratchet up inflation using tariffs, the value of SS payouts decreases substantially.

We ALL know what motivates the "libertarian" right in wanting to get rid of SS. The billionaires and right-wing corporations don't want to pay FICA. Notice they don't even talk about "solvency" anymore. It was all bullshit.
Anyway, I am tired of these threads saying we aren't going to have Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. It is not healthy to post these creative speculation threads, and it sure as hell not healthy to read them.
