Trump's actions expose a constitution with severe defects.

For all who believe in the infallibility of our Constitution, Donald Trump is using every defect in it to enrich himself and others as he makes it an autocratic nation.

It is cryptic snd indefinite and relies to much on "unwritten norms".

It comes down to which party holds the majorities in the two houses of Congress. However, in fairness, I will add that there does not seem to be a better alternative.

Also, as far as elections are concerned, it used to be the unwritten rule that presidential election results were not to be challenged. JFK asked Nixon to meet with him following the 1960 election. JFK wanted to know if Nixon planned on challenging the vote count in Northern Illinois. Of course, historians have speculated that an Illinois recount could have cut either way. The downstate Republican edge might not have held up so well.

very much relevant and comprehensive at the time it was written.
But a bit weak in several places.

Two jobs coming up:
1. Neutralize Trump and his cohort of followers.
2. Add to the Constitution so that this can never happen again.
(One suggestion from me: Add a destruct button to annihilate at short notice any future Administration that goes off the rails.
Some sort of 'no confidence' process.)

The Republican party is derelict in it's duty to take him out of office for his crimes.

all swore ro protect and defend it - the the administration, our elected members, our courts, our military leaders, our veterans and many of our federal, state and local government employees.

Any piece of paper is only as good as the people responsible for keeping it safe, are.

These flaws must be fixed when we re-establish the rule of law in the USA.
