In the past in both Arkansas and Louisiana ballot boxes were often changed out before being taken to the county / parish office for counting.

Louisiana is under the theocratic fascist rule of Y'all Qaeda's Nazi hordes.

"Dear Leaders" include Landry, Johnson, Kennedy, and Cassidy.

Their abject fascist depravity is on constant public display.

Basically, these were all ultra RW moves, disguised in a bunch of legal language.

And the fact that so many people voted against, when the amendments are so hard to understand, tells us a lot about the brewing anger.

I would also note that all for of these amendments were about economic fairness (all 4 sought to make the system even more unfair). THIS is what America has been angry about for 20+ years. Democrats must craft all their messaging around the banner of economic unfairness.

But... then the topmost wealthy within our own ranks realize that the anger could be aimed at them for the exact same reasons (and, in most cases, a rather healthy amount of evidentiary justification) and they decide not to be so loud about that.

The ONLY mention of funds spent in opposition is that some group that George Soros gave some money to, ran ads.

The article did mention Charles Koch, but apparently, all these poor billionaires did was "knock on some doors".

Some "journalism", huh?

Tuesday is a big day

Gives me hope for Tuesday, especially in Wisconsin.

But these didn't pass because it had a bunch of numbers and math in it. It failed because they didn't understand it.
The only reason it didn't pass is because Landry made the mistake of not making it enough about race, sex or sexual orientation.

If he had said "trans kids support a "no" vote" then it would have passed with 99%.

Or thrown a bunch racist dog whistles in the bill to put more kids in prison, it would have passed with 99%.
Republicans don't vote for things, they vote against things.
A Republican will support anything you tell them to vote for as long as they think that voting for it will hurt Blacks and Hispanics or women or LGBTQ people more than it will hurt white Christian males.

Not 99% of the population. Huge difference.
Plus saying "99%" of anything is typically an exaggeration simply to make the point that states like Louisiana are awful places. I've lived in Louisiana (Shreveport) and been to the coast enough that I pronounce New Orleans like I was born there. I am, unfortunately, very familiar with the state. Obviously there are good people and good things there but I believe all the coastal areas should be abandoned let mother nature heal itself before we have a significant tragedy from the next hurricane.

The turnout was 21%. The expected turnout was 12%. It's amazing these proposals were turned down.

But good for Louisiana! Love the Republican excuse:

I wouldn't be surprised if Republicans don't go after early voting after this result because seemingly that's how the election was won--whipping the early vote to unprecedented numbers.
