to listen to this, but if she says anything about paper checks, other than as you pointed out, they haven't sent them out for decades now. People who don't have a checking account get a debit card that gets refilled every month.

More to the point, if SS rules were changing in two weeks, I doubt this woman, this post on DU is a good source.

goes to and used to withdraw cash, pay groceries etc. it's actually easier than having a paper check.
