Elon committed major faux pas by wearing cheese head hat to campaign rally

I still remember that at the 2016 Democratic National Convention seeing the Wisconsin delegation wearing cheese head hats the last night of the convention. The Texas delegation had lousy seats but we did have a good view of the Wisconsin delegation.

It seems that people in Wisconsin take their cheese hats seriously and Musk offended a good number of voters wearing a cheese hat. I was amused by the cheese hats. Evidently only people from Wisconsin can safely wear these hats at political events

Tech billionaire Elon Musk committed a faux pas in Wisconsin over the weekend, said a former campaign advisor to President George W. Bush.

Musk was in Wisconsin as part of his multi-million-dollar effort to elect a far-right judge, who he said could change the world. But one of his first actions was to take the stage and put on the traditional cheesehead hat.

The large wedge of cheese atop the heads of Wisconsin sports fans became an idea in 1987 after Ralph Bruno was "inspired" by the derogatory term "cheesehead" used by rival teams, ESPN reported in 2011.

Putting on the hat "was not a smart thing to do in Wisconsin," said former media advisor Mark McKinnon on MSNBC.

He confessed he thought it might be cool of Bush came off the campaign plane wearing the cheesehead hat.

"And, man, he just ripped me and said, 'You don't do that in Wisconsin. We do that here, but you don't come from outside and put on a cheesehead. That's cultural appropriation,'" recalled McKinnon.

3. The optics were not the hat

It was the blatant attempt to buy a judge

The best optics were the "Not For Sale" signs. Dems need to run with that in every election Musky touches

The cheesehead thing is somewhat a source of pride, but mostly just a lark. It started with the Packers which is a bigger source of pride, but nobody gets offended when other teams fans put a grater on it in a "shred the cheese' kinda ploy. I think thats kinda funny actually

I assume this was his "Make Cheddar Great Again" hat. I can't wait to see his "Make Natural Fertilizer Great Again" hat when he speaks to the National Cowchip Vendors Association.

9. Did anyone see the ads the Republicans were running in the last couple weeks?

Their own polls must have told them they were losing, because they pulled out all the stops, showing Trump's face and mentioning him repeatedly--more often than the candidate himself (Brad Schimel). It was clear that whoever was actually running for the position was immaterial; they were simply a stand-in for Trump.

The ads ended on a really weak note--something about the "trickle down" policies of the Trump regime. If you parsed this with even a slight amount of critical thought, it became clear that what was really being said was "you peasants had better vote for this stuffed-shirt of ours, or you won't even get the few scraps we deign to throw your way!". It's really dumb to bring back Reagan-style "voodoo economics" (aka the "trickle-down" theory) after 40 years of historical experience showing that it doesn't work!

It was Trump only speaking, the announcer says " lets hear from Donald Trump HIMSELF" (emphasis on that word)

You couldn't get thru a Brewers game on the radio for hearing it 20 times
