100% the goal of all these tariff games are to get Jerome Powell to budge

100% the goal of all these tariff games is to get Jerome Powell to budge on interest rates Putin's Whore had during his first term.

The backfire in this is Trump's punk ass can end tariffs here after interest rates are lowered but the other countries don't have to.

A war doesn't end just cause one person decides they don't want to fight anymore.

We are in for some hurt.

Powell doesn't have to lower interest rates and if Trump gets rid of him cause he won't do what he wants the 2008 financial crisis will look like a walk in the park.

Stagflation is coming

Reagonomics was never based on real economic logic, just wishful thinking by the executive classes.

Many years after supply side was considered a valid fiscal policy, he admitted he had no data or analysis to back up his counterintuitive ideas.
He just wanted it to work.
It didn't.
Unfortunately, it met the political goals of the Ronnie administration, and then the sanctimonious jerks at Univ of Chicago cheated their way to Nobels & other sources of credibility.

My guess is that he's going to sell tariff exceptions. Some countries might be willing to pay him a high price to keep their economies moving. I don't know anything about tariff law.

But if Trump's economy slows drastically enough causing inflation to drop there can be more than a couple rate decreases over next year
