It's Your Approach, Stupid! But When You Think You're Inflailible...

Many tariffs on US products have been unfair for a long time. However, Trump thinks he can bully other nations with bombastic threats and disrespect. The world doesn't work that way, but it's how he has behaved most of his life and it's worked for him.

Respectfully negotiations would have been the way to go for limited concessions. In time, more agreements could have been reached. But, NO ONE can reason with Trump because he literally thinks he is infallible.

President Trump enacted tariffs on Canadian and Mexican goods imported into the US, claiming the US has been taken advantage of for years; however, it wasTrump who negotiated and signed these trade agreements during his first term in 2018.

Afghanistan is the only country on the chart that has over 20% putative tariffs (49%) on US that gets a mere 10% instead of half (25%).

Several southern hemisphere islands with no inhabitants or less than 2000 people got hit, including a penguin island. One of them is inhabited only by troops: you guessed it, United States of America soldiers and UK soldiers.
