Megyn Kelly is disheartened by the rumors that Elon Musk’s time within the Trump White House could be ending.
During the Wednesday episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host called the reports out of Politico and ABC that Musk – and his work with DOGE – might not be around much longer “sad.” She also found it shocking that Democrats would be celebrating the news.
“I think it’s sad,” Kelly said. “It’s like, imagine living in the time of Albert Einstein or Thomas Edison, and having them say, ‘I will help solve the nation’s problems. I’m happy to pitch in,’ and saying, ‘No, we hate you.’ That’s what the left is saying. ‘We know we hate you. We don’t need your brain to help us solve problems.'”
She added, “My own guess, without having spoken to anybody on Team Trump is, this has been very hard on Elon. His Tesla stock is down. His company is being attacked. Nobody wants to buy a Tesla now because they’re worried their car is going to get vandalized, keyed, that the place they have to go to recharge it is going to be set on fire with Molotov cocktails. They can walk into a Tesla dealership that could be burned by some lunatic. It’s insane. We have hate crime charges now that the DOJ is trying to file against people doing this … But the left is celebrating this.”

He's definitely not Einstein. He may be closer to Edison because they both claimed credit for other people's inventions.

(15,296 posts)in which he eloquently elucidated his beliefs on the need to address the critical failures of capitalism. It was not rejected by the left; though at the time it was written (1949) it wasn't embraced, either. No, the Megyn Kelly's of the world rejected Mr Einstein's ideals, and indeed persecuted him for them.

As for Edison, his first patented invention was an automatic vote recorder, designed to be used by governing bodies. It was rejected by the politicians who feared it would limit their negotiations and keep them from trading votes. So again, he tried, but was shunned as well. Besides this, Edison wasn't a very personable man; he struck many as being a weird duck. And like Yo Mama points out above, he was renowned for stealing other's work and foisting it off as his own.

(18,190 posts)That is the unfortunate thing about the Democratic party. It's history isn't that great in many areas (big city machine and Southern segregation being two examples). What I am still trying to figure out is how it lost the rural populism and even working class support it once had.

(116 posts)After at least a decade of Krasnov saying climate change is a hoax. Green energy is bad. We need to open up the coal mines and drill baby drill. The Krasnov base never did and never will buy a tesla even though Krasnov now is saying they better buy one. If Space Nazi is so freakin intelligent why would he not have seen, his base was totally different than Krasnov's base?

And the magats don't want to buy an EV because their golden idol has been preaching anti-EV propaganda for years.

(18,190 posts)though Musk is not nearly as talented. Edison was a brutal businessman who saw no issue with locking up IP even IP he didn't actually invent. Look up how he electrocuted an elephant and pushed for execution by capital punishment to damage Tesla/Westinghouse's introduction of AC current by trying to demonstrate its danger over Edison's proposed DC current solution.
I very well could see Musk electrocuting an elephant (ironic it is the GOP mascot) as part of the barker show he and Trump run.
