I've been watching the events since the earthquake. A few BBC reporters snuck into Mandelay to see the real damage for themselves since no reporters are allowed into the area. Reporters are often jailed. The comments that I read on You Tube from people are in Mandelay the junta is still shooting people like they normally do. Also, the whole city is 80% destroyed. Foreign aide is limited due to their corrupt leaders. They know the leaders will steal all the money. Somehow aide has to be able to go directly to the citizens and not end up in a politician's bank account.
