"I don't need to follow all that stuff."
There are those who have never known discrimination or financial distress. They don't bother too much about other people's problems. A 25% increase in their cost of living wouldn't be too painful. They really don't care what Trump does.
So the whole country will never turn against him. Some people just aren't paying attention.

You don’t have to be political to be depressed about losing money because a convicted felon is fucking with our economy. The stock market doesn’t sort investors by party affiliation.
I am surrounded by those arguments and even my longest, most trusted friends are parroting those statements... I'm reminding myself that self preservation and survival is rapidly becoming my focus in life. I admit... I feel very unsettled and unsafe in the USA

(17,166 posts)Sure some minority fraction of them tried to or wanted to and were suppressed or disenfranchised, but most of them just couldn't be bothered to have a clue or a care. And fuck all of those people forever.
