A shop had a Trump flag flying for months and I noticed yesterday it was replaced with an American flag. I guess that’s progress.

But the fool with huge banners on several sheds and a mannequin wearing dark blue suit, red tie and really awful blond wig is still loud & proud with his homemade signs. Hope his yard camera catches all the bird flipping hand signs as others drive by.

Although I live in red state, oddly enough, there were very few trump support things out. The occassional bumper sticker, one or two decked out trucks, a poster on a farm fence. And from the weathering on some of them, they may have been there since the idjit was last in office.

The magat across the street took his down a couple of weeks ago. I thought I was going to have to look at it for four years.

His wife is from Central America. His kids are in the Air Force. The disconnect with reality astounded me.

I’m hoping he got a clue. Too little, too late.

During the election the farm across the road from us put up an American flag, no problem here with that although I think it is weird, and a Trump flag, gag. Out here nobody does this but my neighbor did the minute they finished their house. He changed that once Trump looked like he was going to lose but it came back up. It came back up with the other being the Gadsden flag. Thankfully there are 2 big trees that block that from the view from my house and also the distance helps. I noticed the day before yesterday that the Gadsden flag was gone. Now it is just the American flag. Hhhhhmmmm.

Occasionally a bumper sticker or old tshirt in the crowd or on I-30, but his supporters in this area (as I see it, so maybe a few grains of salt) appear to be keeping it close to their chest.

I was on an expedition last weekend to NW Arkansas, pretty much out in the boonies, so about as Trumpy as it gets.

Interestingly, there were hardly any flags out - maybe five or six in all on a 600-mile round trip, one of which was paired with an "Appeal To Heaven" flag. Other than that, a few confederate flags, and a gigantic Trump merch store billboard near Branson (of course!), nothing.

...I spent a few months there on Weyerhauser tree planting projects in clear cuts. It was one of the weirder episodes in my then young life.

(Bill Clinton was running for Governor there which is how long ago it was.)

The part I was in was white boy redneck hell. The pastime there was to leave the dry county to cross into Oklahoma to go to a bar on a Friday night to see who would get shot.

Weird city.

I never understood how Clinton got elected there.

I'm a total river rat, and the four of us were on a kayak expedition. Things were low, so kind of a bump-and-grind trip, but still beautiful, and we were the only people on the stretch we did.

Of course, this was a very long time ago.

As countryside goes, it was beautiful. However the culture was more racist and imbued with ignorance than any other place in which I've spent time.

I would imagine a true river rat being less of a fan of dams than I am, and I'm not a fan at all other than beaver dams.

I don't see any SHitler flags in my neihborhood which I walk every day but now everytime I see a NaziMobile i feel like I am seeing support for the felon. Especially those with paper plates meaning they were purchsed recently.

But on the big street nearby, about three blocks from me, where I have to pass all the time, the tenants there have been flying multiple flags since the KRASNOV first regime. Am talking about a half dozen poles with flags in a row, and flapped till ragged and replaced with new ones, even with the grazed ear fist one. And, no, those are flapping and giving me farts every time I pass.
