(They don’t give a shit what it’s doing to the rest of us, natch.) Have they lined up Powell to give Caligulanus a face-saving out to put a stop to this insanity? Powell says he’ll lower rates, tRump says “exactly what I wanted - I win!!” and he rescinds the tariffs? Whatever it is that gets him to (hopefully) reverse course, it will be characterized as a victory for the asshole. But the damage is done. Our trading partners no longer trust us. And rightfully so.
