But did any Democrat think to go? I know this might sound opportunistic, and perhaps it is, but I think Dems need to start showing up in his place when he refuses to do things that are reverent and expected.

I would think that some Dems were involved (i.e., when the bodies come back to home states, etc.), but I think Dems need to use every opportunity that there is to show they have love of country and compassion to the stark contrast of this asshole who could care less that soldiers died serving their country.
