Republicans will never understand how they are being "played" by the Russians.

Putin's aim is to destroy the American empire just as the old Soviet empire was destroyed.

His tactics are to weaken and destroy the democracies of the world.

And the most difficult thing for them to understand is that Donald Trump is helping them to do it. They are not looking at what he is doing - they are only looking at what he is saying.

The "tariffs" are the best way to weaken the democracies and the trading partners of the United States. This strategy is straight out of Moscow. If we look at all the countries and islands where the tariffs have been imposed, we will not find Russia on the list?

There are people that are naive, but Republicans are hopelessly naive. They are willing to watch our country go under than face the facts that they are being "played" as pawns in a great geo-political game.

When do they wake up?

They are active participants. Many of these people were educated at Ivy League schools, they are not naive or stupid.

They just won't admit it and get angry if you even suggest Russia was influencing their thoughts. That's why Pride is considered a Deadly Sin (a long with Greed and Lying...).

Most o fthem have visited Russia, they like what they see. It's what they want for America. A complete Ologarchy with just a few thousand people controlling literally everything while the rest of the serfs live in squalor. Total control over the media, total control over law and order. Enemies can be disappeared. No rights for women, gays, or ethnic minorities. It's exactly what they've been working for in the US for decades.

But there have always been a few sane ones, up to this point.

You are correct about the direction we are headed.
