CNN Market Fear Index

The little dial that gives an indication of what is driving the market buying or selling is locked on "Extreme Fear" and is now down to 4 on its 100 point scale. Lower the number, the worse it is.
I can't remember it ever being that low.

The S&P is down almost 4.5% and doesn't look like that is changing anytime soon. The first threshold on the S&P is 7% fall from the previous day's closing price, which will halt trading for 15 minutes.second threshold is 13% which halts it for another 15 minutes.
