Mainstream media ignoring certain protests is not new

I remember at times a handful of people in a Tea Party rally that would have many more reporters than participants and getting huge coverage, while rallies and protests for civil rights and the like not getting the same coverage. Nothing new unfortunately.

NPR reported it the following day as "hundreds" - it was so bad that even Nice Polite Republicans apologized on-air.
